The staged reading of  "Under the Big Blue Moon"  by Joseph Jefferson Award Winning Writer Hurt McDermott, under the direction of Gertrude Mattka lecturer Amy Ludwig was performed on Tuesday, March 5 at 7:30pm in the Cattell wing at the Theatre of Western Springs.  Admission was free and the event was open to the public. 

The reading is the culmination of over two weeks of work by the pair and a cast of TWS Actives who have been workshopping the play through two sessions - one in December, and one in late February. The cast included: Stephanie Abramowitz, Angelee Johns, Rich Kropp, Craig Mahlstedt, and Ed Wavak.
