CTWS Summer Drama Workshop

Summer Drama Camp 2012

For students entering grades 2 -8

This year's Summer Drama Workshop production is
 
Dear Edwina Junior
  
Dear Edwina is the story of Edwina Spoonapple--a young girl who is the creator and star of The Dear Edwina Show. From their garage TV studio, Edwina and her neighborhood gang answer letters from folks around town who have written to the show in hopes of receiving some of Edwina’s invaluable advice. Dear Edwina incorporates a wide variety of musical styles while offering advice on such problems as manners, saving money, and having a dreaded “Frankenguest” at your birthday party.
Four two-week sessions are available during summer 2012. Please note that Session 1 may start before your school term has ended.
  June 11-22 June 25-July 6 (no camp on July 4)  
  July 9-20

July 23-August 3

  
Sessions meet daily from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Final performances are scheduled on the 2nd Friday of the session.

Our registration date for Summer Drama Camp 2012 is February 25th .

We are continuing to refine our registration procedures to be as fair and efficient as possible. Registration forms will be made available online at a later date, but will be accepted as walk-in only, and not before February 24th

High School Rep Summer Stock 2012

July 9 - 29

We’re looking forward to another great High School Rep musical production. Students will spend three exciting weeks rehearsing a show and will end camp with four performances of the production that will be open to the public. Our show choice is one that will challenge our students in new ways and will no doubt be a lot of fun for actors and audience members alike. This year’s production will be:
   
Lucky Stiff

Lucky Stiff is the first Off-Broadway musical writen by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty--the team also known for Seussical and Ragtime among other favorites.This madcapped murder mystery revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently-murdered Atlantic City uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing Uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn, or else to the gun-toting wife of the casino owner!
